“At that time for Miami, I felt like the city needed that one record, it was important for Miami. Look at Rick Ross now, [he’s] an artist that reps Miami 305, it was my duty – and it’s our job as a DJ to play new music, new great music, for the people.” – DJ Khaled
He went on to discuss how he played his record for 15 minutes straight during his traffic mix to the point where 99 Jamz suspended him and when he returned, he did it yet again because he truly believed in Ross’ movement for Miami.
Ross spoke about a movie he’s working on that he compared to the next “Shottas”, how he discovered his now A&R and DJ, Sam Sneak outside a strip club as a teenager, his weight loss, growing up in Carol City and much more. OH, he also brought out Miami’s next star to blow, Zoey Dollaz who performed his street anthem “Run Through The Money”. (Sorry for the constant photos clicks, promise they came out as awesome as the footage, Ross approved it on the gram! lol.)
