Today in hip hop history, Common, then known as Common Sense, released his debut album Can I Borrow A Dollar? on October 6, 1992. The album was entirely produced by No I.D, The Beatnuts and Twilite Tone. Entertainment Weekly described it as “a clever but little-noticed first album.”
